With over 30 years’ experience in Power Generation working for International Combustion, Rolls Royce, Alstom, and Doosan Babcock, Mike joined Online Cleaning in 2017.

As Operations Manager Mike is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of Online Cleaning’s Operational Contracts. His role requires leadership of the delivery team, managing resources, and QHSE. A key part of the role, and for Mike the most enjoyable part, is customer relationship management and business development.

Lee Maloney

Operations Supervisor

With 24 years’ experience working at Fiddlers Ferry power plant in Warrington, Lee really knows his stuff when it comes to the energy industry, power plants and their operational needs, and he puts this knowledge to good use in his role which he has held since May 2020.

Lee’s job includes acting as a point of contact onsite for the company and advising clients (with the help of the remote dashboard) of the best solutions to keep their plants running longer, while reducing maintenance costs.

Nicky Carroll

Nicky has been with the company since the early days and has had a pivotal role in the success of the business that it is today.

She has seen her role grow during her 9 years with the company; creating, developing and applying many of the processes we use today to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all day-to-day operations. Nicky is part of our leadership team with a real passion and focus to constantly evolve our practices for what we need to stay ahead in
our industry.

Philippa Cass

Scheduling Administrator

As Scheduling Administrator, Phillipa is in charge of scheduling jobs and planning everything that those jobs entail.

Philippa will work out which members of the team to mobilise, along with what vans they are going to travel in and which hotel they might stay at. Sometimes it includes booking flights, ferries, taxis and hire cars. Every day is different and Philippa knows they need to be prepared for almost any eventuality.

Mike began his career at OCT as an assistant and, through dedication and hard work, has advanced to the role of Operations Supervisor. With over 6 years of experience in the industry, Mike has encountered and successfully navigated nearly every challenge the field has to offer.

His deep knowledge and keen understanding of client expectations make him exceptionally equipped to provide strategic guidance—not only within OCT but also to help clients achieve optimal results.

Joost is constantly working on developing Online Cleaning employees and improving our technology, to ensure we can stay ahead in business and offer the best possible solutions for our customers.

Steve Holland

With his engineering and management experience spanning more than 30 years, Steve’s passions include innovation and problem solving, and his mission is to ensure the needs of the client are not only met but exceeded, by delivering the service that’s right for all involved.

He has worked in marine engineering and across the energy industry, and is driven by the varied challenges the industry creates, finding and developing long term solutions for Online Cleaning’s clients. One of these solutions includes OCT’s High Temperature HD camera.

Fred Wanschers

After starting his career as a ship’s engineer, Fred began working in new building and maintenance related projects involving power stations.

He now has more than 20 years’ active experience in the energy industry – predominantly in coal, biomass and waste-to-energy. Fred also holds a Master’s Degree in Business in Energy Systems. Fred is a positive people manager, who is dedicated to finding the best solutions for our clients. He considers himself a pioneer – always looking to see how he can apply new innovations in different situations.

Andreas Thiemer

With more than 10 years’ experience as shot-firer in boiler and industrial installations, Andreas developed and founded his own company, ‘Thiemer Sprengtechnik,’ or ‘Impact Technologies GmbH’ in 2008.

The enthusiasm Andreas has for Online Cleaning’s innovation and clients knows no bounds. He takes pride in managing his team and relishes the diversity of his job which constantly brings new challenges.
