Stick Blasting

Our Standard Stick Blasting solution is used for online and mostly offline cleaning, using gelatinous cartridge explosives. It is suitable for safety cleaning, such as empty paths, furnaces, burner eyebrows, screen tubes and silos.

Using this method, we can clean large clinkers and fouling from boilers while the plant is cooling prior to shutting down. This reduces the time needed to manually clean the boiler but ultimately it makes the plant safer before any person has to enter it once cooled. Sites use abseilers to remove clinker/slag and fouling as a final safety clean but with Online Cleaning the time taken by abseilers is drastically reduced, therefore minimising risk to staff.
